I came to trust in Jesus as my Savior when I was 5 years old. It was a Sunday evening church service, and I made my way to the old-fashioned altar at the front. My mother knelt beside me and led me to faith in the LORD. It's been a winding road since then, with many ups, downs, mud-bogs, hurricanes, and various other obstacles, but two things have proven true: Jesus is King and He has me. I've given my life for Him to use however He sees fit. I'm thankful that's led me to GracePoint.
Where I was born: Pampa, Texas - it's not really on the way to anywhere.

Favorite food: A big salad with all the toppings imaginable (and I can imagine a lot).
Favorite Bible verse: Colossians 1:28-29 - "Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me."
Why I chose a ministry career: The LORD called me and has opened all the right doors to get me here. Really, that's it.
Something about you that is not widely known: I was once struck by lightning. My brother says that explains a few things about me...
I came to Christ at the age of 5 on a road trip. I asked me dad how I could spend eternity with Jesus. He explained the gospel to me and I accepted Christ as my Savior that night in the car! I cannot imagine going through life, making decisions, facing challenges, without Him to lean on. I have had to learn the hard way how dependent on God I am a handful of times, but I am so thankful for his grace and faithfulness to me.

Hey! I’m Pastor Mason. I was born and raised right here in Bismarck, ND! Some of my favorite activities include going hunting or fishing, family date nights, and getting away to a lake cabin. My favorite food has been and will continue to be mashed potatoes with gravy. A favorite Bible verse of mine (and a good daily reminder) is Proverbs 3:5-6. I “chose” my ministry career after what seemed to be none other than a deep calling from God. I originally went to school for Process Plant Technology, but the path in which I was directed was drastically shifted!
Something about me that is not widely known is that my first time ever singing in front of anyone was actually on the platform of GracePoint leading worship for the very first time.
I was around nine years old when I accepted Jesus as my Savior. I clearly remember asking my parents if I could be baptized and them walking me through what it meant. Ever since I have been growing and learning in Faith.

I don't remember a time that I didn't know Jesus. But that doesn't mean life has been easy. He has brought me endless hope during some dark times and has given me strength to do the things I do now. I know I would not be able to show compassion as a parent, foster parent, friend, and wife without him.

Favorite Bible verse: 2 Timothy 1:7 ESV for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
Why you chose a ministry career: Working at GracePoint was my first time working in ministry. I don’t think of it as me choosing to work in ministry so much as God gifting me the opportunity to work in ministry.

Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Why you chose a ministry career: About the time my youngest child was starting preschool the children’s pastor at GP approached me about joining the staff with a PT support staff position. That was 6 years ago. God’s timing was perfect in calling me back to work outside of my home.
Something about you that is not widely know: I was an elementary teacher for 7 years while living in Fargo. After moving back to the Bismarck area I was able to be a stay at home mom for several years.
I grew up in a catholic household. My parents divorced when I was eight years old created a big barrier between myself and God. I thought, “Why would I want to believe in a god that would put a family through everything that I was going through?” So, I didn’t. I tried to find truth in my own ways, which eventually led me to a group of friends who invited me to a retreat called T.E.C (Teens Encounter Christ). Through those retreats, I grew in my understanding of what the gospel was really about and how much God cared for me. In my freshman year of College, I fully surrendered my life to Christ and he called me into ministry not even one week later. Ever since then, God has been shaping me and leading me in all areas of my life.

Why you chose a ministry career: God called me to pursue ministry when I was a freshman in college.
I grew up all over the United States but Minnesota is my home state since I have lived there 3 separate times.
I was not born into a Christian home but my parents became Christ followers when I was in Kindergarten and major changes started taking place in our home. About a year later, my parents took me to an outdoor passion play where they showed the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. As a child, I couldn’t understand why men would be so cruel to this Jesus guy who helped heal and teach and provide for the people. The gospel message was shared and we were invited to pray and invite Jesus to be our personal Lord and Savior and to forgive us from our sins, which I humbly prayed. At the end of the production, if we had prayed that prayer for the first time, we were invited up to join the cast on stage. I threw caution to the wind and bolted to the stage (to the utter shock and surprise of my parents) because I knew with certainty that I wanted to be with that Jesus guy who was willing to suffer and die and take my place on the cross for my sins. Through all the ups and downs of life, he continues to be the anchor for my soul and the one I run to.
God has given me a heart and a passion for working with women, children, and youth and a desire to help teach others about this hope, joy, and peace that can only be found in Jesus Christ. I was very surprised when God called our family to become a homeschool family five years ago. This calling has allowed our family to embrace our love of gardening, canning, hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. It has also allowed me to learn and practice the culinary art of wild game cooking.
Favorite Verse: “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Hebrews 12:1-2 NIV
Random Fact: I would much rather drink room temp water or hot water than a glass of cold ice water
We believe in one God, Creator of all things, holy, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in a loving unity of three equally divine Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Having limitless knowledge and sovereign power, God has graciously purposed from eternity to redeem a people for Himself and to make all things new for His own glory.
We believe that God has spoken in the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, through the words of human authors. As the verbally inspired Word of God, the Bible is without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for salvation, and the ultimate authority by which every realm of human knowledge and endeavor should be judged. Therefore, it is to be believed in all that it teaches, obeyed in all that it requires, and trusted in all that it promises.
We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully God and fully man, one Person in two natures. Jesus—Israel's promised Messiah—was conceived through the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father as our High Priest and Advocate.
We believe that the Holy Spirit, in all that He does, glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ. He convicts the world of its guilt. He regenerates sinners, and in Him they are baptized into union with Christ and adopted as heirs in the family of God. He also indwells, illuminates, guides, equips and empowers believers for Christ-like living and service.
We believe that the true church comprises all who have been justified by God's grace through faith alone in Christ alone. They are united by the Holy Spirit in the body of Christ, of which He is the Head. The true church is manifest in local churches, whose membership should be composed only of believers. The Lord Jesus mandated two ordinances, baptism and the Lord’s Supper, which visibly and tangibly express the gospel. Though they are not the means of salvation, when celebrated by the church in genuine faith, these ordinances confirm and nourish the believer.
We believe that God's justifying grace must not be separated from His sanctifying power and purpose. God commands us to love Him supremely and others sacrificially, and to live out our faith with care for one another, compassion toward the poor and justice for the oppressed. With God’s Word, the Spirit’s power, and fervent prayer in Christ’s name, we are to combat the spiritual forces of evil. In obedience to Christ’s commission, we are to make disciples among all people, always bearing witness to the gospel in word and deed.
We believe that God commands everyone everywhere to believe the gospel by turning to Him in repentance and receiving the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that God will raise the dead bodily and judge the world, assigning the unbeliever to condemnation and eternal conscious punishment and the believer to eternal blessedness and joy with the Lord in the new heaven and the new earth, to the praise of His glorious grace. Amen
