PASTORAL SEARCH TIMELINE

We are asking all applicants to provide the following before we begin our evaluations…

• Cover letter
• Resume
• Questionnaire Responses
• Transcripts (college/seminary)
• A video or audio of a sermon or teaching

Please be praying that our Search Team will discern the Spirit’s leadership as we seek His appointment for our next Pastor of Adult Ministries.

Pastor Duncan accepted a call to be Pastor od Discipleship at The Bridge Church in Au Claire, Wisconsin. Their last day at GracePoint was July 31st.

Pastor Carey (Lead Pastor) and our Elders have developed a profile for the role and are assembling a Search Team to help with the receipt of resumes and evaluate candidates.

Pastor Carey has prayerfully invited a number of people to consider serving as part of the search team and the Lord has brought forth the following individuals, who are a great representation of our church body.

Kate Simonsen, Jefferie Hoffman, Whitney Herr, Matt Schaible, Alison Just (and Pastor Carey).

The team will meet for the first time on August 24th. Please be praying for them as they develop a strategy for completing an effective and efficient search.

Our search team has finished their preparatory work and the Pastoral Profile is now public on a variety of websites for minister job searches. You can see it on our GP website here: https://GracePoint.life/jobs

Our first few applicants have begun to trickle in and we have begun our assessment process. Pray for us to receive God’s insight into each applicant as we begin to look at the resources they send us!

Our team has had a few conversations with applicants who it turned out were not a good fit for our Adult Ministries role, and one more applicant at the very beginning of the evaluation process who we look forward to getting to know. The search team appreciates your ongoing prayers as we wait on the Lord. We trust Him to provide the right man for the job in His perfect timing.
