For God alone my soul waits in silence; from Him comes my salvation. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken.

When David was in trouble, he knew where to turn. In fact, he knew there was only ONE place to turn.

Though he was King, though he was a skilled warrior and decent politician, David did not resort to his natural gifting, resources, or abilities; he turned his heart toward God again and again when he was in a tough spot.

Most of us live such independent lives we don’t know what it even looks like to turn to God. That’s one of the many reasons why we are engaging in this Seek First project as a church family. We are intentionally resetting our default position, daily reminding ourselves that as a church and as individuals, we need Him and only Him.
