Psalm 16:11 

You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. 

Where does your joy in life come from? I mean REAL joy, that won’t fade away? 

Notice where David says it is found… 

In Your presence is fullness of joy… 

Did you know that? Only in God’s presence can we find FULL joy, lasting joy, joy that is not tied to circumstances or possessions or people or achievements. The kind of joy we all want and really need, is found in the presence of God alone. 

Why is this the case? 

Because God alone is all-sufficient, infinite, never lacking. To be in His presence is to drink from a spring that never runs dry, that always refreshes, that forever satisfies. 

As you seek Him today, consider how you can move yourself into “His presence.”  

Do you need to set an alarm to go off throughout the day as a reminder that He is with you, and you can spend time in His presence at any moment? 

Should you write down Psalm 16:11 and ponder it throughout the day between activities? 

Perhaps you should ask God to show you the reality of being in His presence, through the saving work of Jesus?
