Psalm 46:1-3

1 God is our refuge and strength,
    a very present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear though the earth give way,
    though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam,
    though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah

 What a comfort this is. Reading this, I think of movies like 2012, where the world is ending. The ground is literally falling away, mountains are crumbling, and the sea is rising and covering the land. It is complete and total destruction. The end of the world.

But this passage tells us that even then, God is our refuge and strength. He is the one who protects us. He is the one who fights the battles. He is the one right next to us in our trials and troubles. Nothing. NOTHING is too big or impossible for God to overcome. Not even the end of the world.

Today, where do you need to remember this truth about God? As you seek Him today, pray and rest in the almighty power and sovereignty of our God. Take your troubles to Him and allow Him to lead, for He is always with you.
